Just a little rant to get out all the feels. This is just how I feel about all of it instead of what I think creators should do. They can do what they want and I’ll accept that even if I don’t like it.
I need to spend an entire afternoon catching up on years I missed out on comics. One of my favorite characters was Cassandra Cain.
I stopped reading once she had her brain rewired for some reason. I guess I liked the dialogue without all the words. The language by movements and expressions. She was very much a female batman to the point of where she understood Bruce the most out of his batkids. And wasn’t focused on romance. Or being involved with Batman romantically.
Which well, is kind of how I thought Korra was going to be. Focus on her mission, a skilled fighter, and we see the journey she took to round out that last part essential to being a warrior sans a stereotypical gender divide. Like Asami or Lin Bei Fong. They had this knowledge of right or wrong without letting emotions mar or get in the way but retained compassion. I mean, write a lead that isn’t unholy flawed because of a boy. Or maybe the romantic interest wasn’t a confused character constantly distracting from the story but aiding it along. Mako was the pretty girl that served no purpose except to be liked by two girls and you have this whole story line for him that wasnt even used, for either brother. The creators can use a few seconds to do that, to be that profound. They have that amount of skill. They had teenagers the same age in the last series with well written romance. So it’s not new territory. They can do it well. Not being a Degrassi writer. I mean Degrassi was my guilty pleasure and all but still!!!
Blah blah blah
